Bayern coach confesses Louis van Gaal: I was for Germany at the World Cup!

Newly-named Coach of the Year Louis van Gaal has confessed in an interview with ‘Kicker’: "I supported Germany in the World Cup. Eight of my players were on the team, only three played for Holland."
The Bayern coach has outed himself as a Germany fan! He has already managed to annoy one compatriot with his newly announced loyalty. Van Gaal said: “I told my team this, and [Dutch star and Bayern captain Mark] van Bommel was angry.”
But van Gaal himself actually raves about Germany and enjoys his huge popularity there.
He told ‘Kicker’: “When I was in Spain I thought I was in the football nation of the world. But in Germany football is loved even more. Every week there are 69,000 spectators in the stadium in Munich, and elsewhere too, the stadiums are full. It is fantastic."
But his loyalty to the German team? Now that’s something else…
The so-called 'Tulip General' first surprised everyone in February with the following statement: “It is a dream of mine to be the national coach of a team with whom the World Cup could be won. That includes Germany."
And he is now renewing his interest: “After Bayern I am hoping to be able to do this. I want to work with a country that has the ability to win something. There are lots of such countries, like Germany."
With all the effort van Gaal is putting in to buttering up the Germans his wish will probably come true.
But it’s probably all a bit too much for his countrymen to swallow…
