<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"4\" width=\"100%\" border=\"0\"><tbody><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><div align=\"center\">美丽火炬手魏金致信张杰校长表达谢意与祝福[图] </div></td></tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\"><div align=\"center\"></div></td></tr><tr><td colspan=\"2\">　　5月28日，2008北京奥运会火炬手、上海交通大学校长张杰院士收到美国火炬手魏金 (Natasha Weaser)来信，信中表达了她对交大师生热情的感谢和对四川灾区人民的真诚祝福。 　　魏金今年15岁，是上海耀中国际学校的一名学生，经过多轮辛苦的考验当选为奥运火炬手，并于5月24日在交通大学闵行校区参与了火炬接力活动。她编号046，传递校内第24棒。活动结束后，许多同学争相与她合影留念，饮水思源BBS贴出了许多张她的现场照片，网友纷纷称她为“交大站最美丽的火炬手”。 　　当天魏金接受记者采访时表示，她曾组织筹款活动，帮助汶川大地震中的灾民。她说：“奥运火炬传递使我深受感动，中国人民是紧密团结在一起的，有这样的精神，不管什么困难都不能将你们打倒！同时我们（国际友人）也会大力支持你们的，加油！” 　　魏金在致张杰校长的信中说：“感谢你们在我此次难忘的交大圣火传递过程中，敞开心扉，张开双臂，如此热情的欢迎我。你们的微笑和友谊将陪伴我一生。作为一名外国学生，能在中国发展的黄金时期在此学习生活，我感到无比荣幸。在此特殊的时刻，你们的精神给予我无比的希望。让我们心手相连，携手共进，将世界变得更加美好。” 　　魏金还在认真地思索着：“是什么让我们怀着无比兴奋的心情传递奥运圣火的同时，又要勇敢面对四川的重大灾难？我们将如何用奥林匹克精神，团结一心，众志成城，帮助四川人民重拾信心，重建家园？”表达了对灾区人民的深厚感情和重建家园的使命感。 　　撰文：记者董少校学生记者李雨雯 附：魏金来信翻译稿及原文
