<h2>Marcelinho has left the Wolves</h2>
<p class=\"bodytext\">The
VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Marcelino (33) officially said goodbaye to the
club which had signed him from the Turkish side Trabsonspor some 18
months ago. The emotional farewell took place at the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA,
before the Wolves kicked off their final friendly game of the
pre-season period against the Italian side US Palermo.

<p class=\"bodytext\">The Brazilian playmaker has agreed to join the
Brazilian giants Flamengo Rio de Janeiro right away and will fly to his
home land on Wednesday.

<p class=\"bodytext\">Marcelinho was given a standing ovation by the
9,000 or so Wolves fans who attended the game. Visibly moved, the
player said: \"Thanks for everything, I had a wonderful time here. The
Wolves were like a family to me.\"

<p class=\"bodytext\">Head coach Felix Magath: \"I felt that he wanted to move and we didn\'t want to make any difficulties for him.\"

<p class=\"bodytext\">During his tenure in the Bundesliga playing for
Hertha and the Wolves, Marcelinho made 205 appearances in the
Bundesliga, scoring 77 goals in all.
