<p>MILAN - Inter beat Juventus 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in the first of this evening\'s three 45-minute Tim Trophy matches.</p><p>The Nerazzurri face AC Milan in the third and final game, with losers Juventus to take on the Rossoneri in tonight\'s second match.</p><p>Iaquinta wasted an early chance for the Bianconeri, dragging wide Nedved\'s cross in the 4th minute.</p><p>Cristiano Zanetti had a low 25-yard shot from Samuel\'s clearance saved by Toldo as Juve continued to pressurise the Nerazzurri in the opening period.</p><p>Inter\'s first chance fell to Santiago Solari\'s whose angled right-foot shot was saved by Buffon at the near post.</p><p>Juve went close again in the 17th, Toldo punching clear Del Piero\'s free kick, awarded for a Cesar foul on Salihamidzic.</p><p>Solari\'s rifled shot fizzed wide off Cristiano Zanetti as Inter had their second chance on 20 minutes. Samuel\'s headed goal from the resultant corner was disallowed with Cordoba adjudged to be in an offside position.</p><p>Ranieri\'s side were denied again when Cordoba blocked Almiron\'s goal-bound drive in the 23rd. And again in the 36th minute when Toldo blocked Iaquinta\'s poked effort from a corner.</p><p>Inter hit straight back and Juve had Criscito to thank for a clearance from Cruz\'s pass for Adriano who was through on goal.
