<p>Italy went ahead with just over a minute left through fullback Fabio Grosso and then added a second goal almost immediately thanks to substitute Alessandro Del Piero.
<p>'We had good chances to score,' said Germany left back Philipp Lahm. 'It's bitter to lose so close to the end of the match. We didn't lack any freshness.
<p>'We were still fit, everyone could still run.
<p>'There were two very good teams out there. There weren't many chances. It was a balanced match. We had our chances too.

看不懂德语，但是不管他说什么，我都会觉得他是好样的。虽然这场没有进球，但是他的表现并没有让我失望。

我不知道在这个时候是应该安慰他还是怎么样，不过我没有责怪他的意思，只是失望，可能因为期望太大了吧，但是我真的很希望他可以把德国送到柏林…………………………………………

我们每个人都希望他能扮演这样一个救世主一样的角色，但是事实就是如此残酷，我们的愿望没有实现。其实，从一开始我对他就没有过多的要求，考虑到他的体能问题，起初还很担心这场比赛他的状态会不会很差，但看了上半场，他没有让我失望，表现得很出色，但是队友们似乎有些不珍惜他创造的机会。这里并不是批评某些人，比赛已经结束了，再追究责任也是没什么必要的。总之大伙都是好样的。
