Toni Kroos, part of the squad which reached the semi-finals a year ago, dictated their play and deservedly struck late on to add to Sascha Bigalke’s first-half penalty.</p><p><strong>German dominance</strong><br/>It took Germany 17 minutes to get behind the strapping Ukraine defence when Bigalke latched on to a long ball and forced a save from Vyacheslav Bazilevych, Dennis Dowidat firing the rebound over. Kroos then beat two defenders only to shoot into the sidenetting. </p><p><strong>enalty opener</strong><br/>aul Schoman\'s side won a penalty soon after: Henning Sauerbier was fouled by Dmytro Niemchaninov following a corner and Bigalke dispatched the spot kick. Ukraine were obviously missing their key suspended pair, defender Kryrl Petrov and striker Dimytro Korishko, and their sole chance before the break was a late attempt from distance by Serhiy Shevchuk which did not trouble Germany goalkeeper Fabian Giefer.</p><p><strong>Bigalke close</strong><br/>Schoman introduced Richard Sukuta-Pasu early in the second half and his pace and strength only added to their armoury, the No17 immediately running clear of the Ukraine defence and shooting just wide. Kroos then jinked to the edge of the box and fed Bigalke to his right, but the striker put his effort above the bar.</p><p><strong>Assured defence</strong><br/>Ukraine’s diminutive playmaker Artur Karnoza did his best to inspire his team-mates, especially with a couple of free-kicks, but it was a tough task against a Germany team who were as assured in defence as Bigalke, Kroos and Sukuta-Pasu were further forward. And Kroos had the final word with three minutes left as he cut into the box and struck an angled shot which Bazileyvch could not hope to stop. But it took a penalty by Sascha Bigalke to give Germany the lead (25th). Kroos crowned his performance by scoring the second goal with three minutes left in the second half.</p><p>Germany will face France on Friday (6.30 P.M.) and Spain on Monday, May 7 (all games live on Eurosport). The tournament lasts until May 13.</p><p>\"If we want to fullfil our dream of qualifying for the U17 World Cup, we need to finish in second place in our group, or in third place and win a playoff game against another third-place-finisher. It will be a real challenge\", said DFB-coach Paul Schomann.</p><p>The tournament in Belgium is the 25th anniversary of the European U17 Championships, which started out as the U16 Championships (1982-2001). Germany won the tournament in 1984 and 1992. Reigning champions are Russia, who did not qualify for the tournament in Belgium. In 2006, the German U17 reached the semifinals.</p></div>

我看了半场球，觉得小伙子还挺不错，Toni Kroos在同龄人中技术确实相当有优势，而且显得身材高大。刚过17岁生日的他就有182cm，其他人都是小孩子呢。感觉很像刚出道时的小代。希望能健康成长，不要背负太大压力，这是相当有潜力的一名球员。
