Bayern\'s youth trainer Kurt Niedermayer says that Rense is very ambitious, which you have to be if you want to survive in the Bundesliga. Then, Uli Hoeneß blathers about Rense not having to wait an eternity anymore but only a year (which I find is a bit unfair because Rense has already waited much longer than he should have), and he says that there\'s a difference in quality between being Kahn\'s successor and overtaking Butt or Rost. But it\'s hard to always be there when Olli Kahn can\'t or doesn\'t want to play and still remain calm and composed.Olli and Rense respect each other but they\'re not close at all. They\'re quite different - Rense is no vulcan, he\'s calmer and more balanced, even in difficult moments, and there have been a lot of those at the FC Bayern recently. Hoeneß said that most of the players are distracted by the transfer rumours and don\'t concentrate on the game anymore. He says that if he had to read in the newspapers every day that he\'s completely misplaced at the club and should be somewhere else, it\'s not surprising that the matches turn out to be like the one in Mönchengladbach.

Werner Kern, Bayern\'s youth department boss, says that Rense joined the club in 1998, when everyone was convinced that Bayern already had the best goalkeeper of that age, Markus Grünberger. Raimund Aumann then decided after a test training that they should get him at all costs and they\'re happy now that they did. Rense has taken his chance and made the best of it. He has shown that he\'s more than just an alternative for the time after Olli Kahn. Niedermayer says that Rense needs practice, but not in the reserves, but apparently, he\'s the only one who says that. *sigh* At least, Rense is always there when he\'s needed, like in 2004, when he became the hero of the DFB Cup with the reserves. Niedermayer describes him as a player who has great ambitions but is still down-to-earth and realistic, and you can always have good, reasonable chats with him.

Thus ends the video and Rense appears, wearing a black shirt and jeans and looking all gorgeous and yummy, asldöjsflkdgjsdfkgaödfögadfhj. *keyboard mash*

The moderator welcomes Rense by saying that he\'s the one to limit the damage at the FC Bayern. He asks him if matches like the one against Gladbach make him happy to be the keeper or if he sees it more as a punishment to only be called up for matches like this. Rense says that he was happy to be called up, completely disregarding the fact that it was against the last of the league. After all, he played in Milan a few weeks ago, too, and it\'s always good to get more experience.

Of course, it\'s not Bayern\'s claim to lose against the HSV and then play against the last of the league and be happy because Rense saved them a point. (That makes Rense smile. XD) He replies that of course it\'s not Bayern\'s claim, but it\'s not an easy situation for everyone since they will remain fourth and can\'t win or lose anything anymore. They wanted to win the last matches to make the fans happy again, they wanted to fight - even in Gladbach. The first half showed that, they worked hard and it would have been deserved to lead by 3-0 after the half-time break, but then, it all went down the hill.

The moderator approaches Rense with what Uli Hoeneß said about the players\' distractions before, that one can\'t expect the players to give their best for the club anymore because they all have to worry about their jobs. He thinks that one should concentrate on one\'s job and give everything until the very last match, and Rense basically agrees with that. However, he says that one has to consider Bayern\'s special situation at the moment. Some players would give their best and fight if there were still something to win. As it is, there is no challenge anymore, and some will leave the club and have already finished, so it\'s difficult for them to motivate themselves.

This causes a rather silly remark by the moderator. He says that those players are undoubtedly nothing more than mercenaries who don\'t have the FC Bayern in their hearts, otherwise they wouldn\'t even consider dropping the towel. Rense doesn\'t agree with that. Instead, he assures that every player does all he can and works hard during training. It\'s just that if you have the thought in the back of your head that this season is basically over and you\'ve grown used to playing for the title every year, that the DFB cup final is coming up, that the Champions League is still running, you subconsciously remove a few percent of your effort and concentration without being able to do anything. But they want to show their audience a good home game against Mainz.

Since there has been a bit of an argument between Hoeneß, Rummenigge and Beckenbauer over the last few weeks, the moderator asks Rense if the players at the Säbener Straße are involved in that, too, or if they don\'t get to see their bosses at all. Rense says that they do see them a couple of times during the week but it\'s not as if they\'re present when the players train. The players sit together occasionally, like Philipp Lahm said in one of the recent Blickpunkt Sport shows, and discuss things, but not that often or that urgently. It\'s not as if the players open their lockers in the morning, hoping to pass the day without anyone talking to them. (And Rense smiles again. XD)

Berti Vogts, former DFB coach, said that Rense had to play immediately and that Olli Kahn had to have a heart and let Rense take the job, because Rense really cared about the club and it was the best for everyone. Rense appreciates the compliment, but he doesn\'t read too much into it. Instead, he concentrates on giving his best and presenting himself well, so that he gets a few more chances next year. Of course, Olli Kahn won\'t just say, \"Bye, everyone, I\'m going on holiday!\" Rense says with a grin that after the end of this season, Olli will have a month of holiday. (OMG XD!) He doesn\'t know how it will be next season, though. They\'ll definitely sit together and have a chat about it and find a good compromise.

Then follows a clip about what happened in a services station near Würzburg at the weekend, when Bayern hooligans attacked Nürnberg fans who were on their way to Gelsenkirchen. The driver\'s wife was hit by a glass bottle and has now a blind eye. A Nürnberg fan said that it was horrible, that the faces of the hooligans were nothing but grimaces, shouting hateful slogans and that they were mostly young people. They were from an ultra group called Schickeria (no official fanclub), which is known to be violent and aggressive by the police. Only a couple of them had tickets for the matches, fifteen have already banned from every stadium in Germany and were still on the bus. That those (and the others who didn\'t have tickets) were still on the bus shows that they were actually up to no good and not in the least bit interested in the match. An injured Nürnberg fan got a lot of text messages with apologies from Bayern fans. Both clubs have already given statements on the matter and urged their fans to respect other fans and not let the relationships between the clubs suffer. Rense isn\'t asked any questions on this, but his face tells everything.

Instead, the moderator asks him if they\'ll finally win again next week, against Cottbus, and Rense says he definitely hopes so. It\'s high time and they are determined to give their best and win three points again. To the question as to who will be the keeper, Rense grins and says he\'d love to. I swear, those questions get sillier and sillier. The moderator\'s next question is really: \"Who will win the title?\" O_O But Rense (OMG, I love him!) keeps cool, grins and says that admittedly, it\'s getting a bit difficult for Bayern. XDDDDD He hopes that either Stuttgart or Bremen will win.

|
