With some key players returning from injury, there are a few changes from the line-up that had travelled to Cardiff and had beaten Wales. Germany play Ireland in Dublin and Czech Republic in Munich in qualifying games for the EURO 2008.</p><p>Three players from Werder Bremen return to the national team roster: Tim Borowski, Torsten Frings and Clemens Fritz. Forward Mario Gomez from Bundesliga champions VfB Stuttgart, has also been nominated after a break because of injury. Germany is still without captain Michael Ballack and key goal-scorer Miroslav Klose (sore knee).</p><p>Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is in the 22-man squad having shaken off the elbow and achilles tendon injuries which troubled him in the 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifier win over Wales in Cardiff last month. \"I am 100 percent fit and ready to face the Irish,\" said 37-year-old Lehmann. Bayern Munich pair defender Philipp Lahm and striker Jan Schlaudraff are still recovering from injury.</p><p><b>O\'Brien makes return to Ireland squad</b></p><p>Young Bolton Wanderers midfielder Joey O\'Brien makes a return to the Ireland squad announced Tuesday for the qualifier against Germany. The 21-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, got his first cap against Sweden in March 2006 but missed all of last season because of injury. \"Joey is a player that has a lot of potential and I am delighted that he has put his injury problems behind him. He will be a valuable addition to the squad,\" said Ireland manager Stephen Staunton. </p><p>Also in the squad are defenders Stephen Carr of Newcastle and Steve Finnan of Liverpool, midfielders Alan O\'Brien of Hibernian and Darren Potter of Wolverhampton Wanderers who were forced to withdraw from last month\'s games against Slovakia and Czech Republic because of injury. Defender Paul McShane of Sunderland will miss the game against Germany because of suspension after picking up his second yellow card of the campaign while winger Stephen Hunt of Reading is suspended after receiving a red card against Czech Republic. </p><p>Ireland and the Germans faced each other 15 times in history so far. Germany won seven matches, Ireland five, three matches ended in a draw. On September 9, 2006 the teams met for the last time. AC Milan defender Marek Jankulovski, Lyon striker Milan Baros, and Anderlecht midfielder Jan Polak are suspended with defenders Zdenek Grygera, of Juventus, and Spartak Moscow\'s Martin Jiranek injured.</p><p>For the clash with qualification group leaders Germany, the Czech coach selected defender Jan Simunek, one of the star\'s of the Czech under 20 World Cup campaign this summer, for the first time. </p><p>The Germans played the Czechs five times. The German national team has won four matches and lost once. In their last encounter on March 24, 2007 the Germans won 2-1 (1-0) in Prague.
