( It wiil be 34 years by this summer, and counting). But I have never felt the way I should (i.e. 应该). I have never hated anyone for leaving Bayern, or for beating Bayern, or for bad-mouthing Bayern.

Yes, when a useful player leaves Bayern, I am disappointed, sometimes even sad. But that is very far from anger, even father from hate.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinions and your feelings, even though I don\'t share them. And you, and your opinions and your feelings have my respect as long as they are expressed in a civil way--which they have been so far.

I wonder how today\'s fans would have reacted when Beckenbauer, still not \"over the hill\" at 31 given his football brain and style of play, quit Bayern to join the New York Cosmos in the money-burning North America Soccer League, AND return to the Bundesliga 3 years later---to play 2 more years for Hamburg! Or when there were persistent rumours for years that Rummenigge was about to leave Bayern for some team in Spain or italy, which he eventually did in 1984 by joining Inter. At that time, they were absolutely key players to Bayern, more so than Ballack ever was. Even Uli Hoeness left Bayern in an attempt to revive his injury ravaged career. ( Well, he failed.) While he was no longer useful at that time because of his bad knees, I wonder if today\'s fans might feel that he should have save that trouble by just retiring at Bayern, just to preserve his \"chastity\" with the club, the way Van Basten and Sammer did at the clubs they were identifies with, many years later. Fortunately for Hoeness, Rummenigga and Der Kaiser, most of today\'s righteous fans with their high moral standards were not born yet when that happened.
